La Haut Resort, Soufriere

Staying at Cashew #1 was a mixed experience. The room was outstanding with a beautiful view of the Piton, yet in need of a refurb and seemed overpriced. The location was picturesque on the hillside above Soufrière, providing breathtaking views but lacking a modern touch. The dining was delightful, tasty, and included in our rate, but the service was inconsistent, ranging from friendly to attempting aggressive upselling.

The hotel had spacious and lovely rooms with a kitchenette for breakfast and a wonderful balcony offering incredible Piton views. The service was friendly overall, although there were some issues like needing to alert staff to clean the pool. The location was amazing, especially the infinity pool overlooking the town and Pitons, while dining options were good but somewhat pricey.

I found the hotel to be an ideal place to relax and enjoy the peace and quiet of the hills with self-catering options available. The rooms with balconies offered a great view, but there was a lack of information on attractions in the area. The hotel suited our needs perfectly despite some minor drawbacks.
